I don’t usually repost things, but with the recent media sensation surrounding Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron’s girlfriend during the BCS National Championship game (she was featured on television simply sitting in the stands and gained 100,000 new Twitter followers instantly), I think the comments of the week go not to Brent Musburger, but psychiatrist Dr. Keith Ablow in a recent column.

Ablow’s comments had nothing to do with the event, but rather the general absorbtion of social media.

As Ablow puts it bluntly in a Jan 8. article, “We are raising a generation of self-deluded narcissists.”
